My family and I went on a Disney cruise last Summer and loved it. The Disney Cruise line is the one place at sea where magic comes to life. And with the Disney Cruise Line, what better way to begin than with a Disney Cruise vacation? The Disney Cruise Line brings its unique style to the sea with its ships Disney Magic and Disney Wonder and the Disney Cruise Line has an extensive children’s program with age-specific activities. There’s a lot to like about Disney cruises. The line offers weekly 3- to 7-day cruises and a few longer special voyages. Seven-night cruises offer a special series of enrichment programs categorized into 3 main areas of interest; Disney’s Art of Entertaining, Disney’s Navigator Series, and Disney Behind-the-Scenes. Disney Wonder sets sail from Port Canaveral on 3 night cruises every Thursday and 4 night cruises every Sunday, which may be combined with a 3 or 4 night pre-stay at the Walt Disney World Resort for a seamless 7 night land and sea vacation. 3 night Bahamas cruises on the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Wonder leave from Port Canaveral on Thursdays, in every month of the year.
The 3 night cruise goes to Nassau, Bahamas and Disney’s Castaway Cay and the 4 night cruises do the same with the addition of either a day at sea or a visit to Grand Bahama on alternating weeks. 4 night Bahamas cruises on the Disney Wonder leave on Sundays, also throughout the year. All of the cruises stop off at Castaway Cay at some point during the journey, Disney’s fabulous private island, complete with family and adults only beaches. Disney is also offering cruises combined with three or four days stay at Walt Disney World as a package, which guarantees that the cruises will be sold out. Take a Disney week-long land and sea vacation that combines Disney resorts, theme parks, and cruises for the ultimate vacation experience.
A stay at Walt Disney World is the perfect way to cap off your Disney Cruise, and will offer lots of fun for adults and children alike – with lots of activities offered for children, and surprises and fun to give them a holiday to remember. There is something for everyone, so everyone can have a small piece of this boat so they can always remember the wonderful time they have on board the Disney Cruise liner.

A luxury cruise vacation was once the sole preserve of the rich and the famous so a cruise budget was the last thing to consider. You really did used to have to be very wealthy to say bon voyage and sail of on a magical cruise vacation. For the poorer people there was an underclass of cabin down below but the two classes would hardly ever meet on board.
It has taken a slow progression over the past century for the costs involved with cruise travel to become affordable. These days a luxury cruise vacation is well within reach of middle income earners as budget cruises seem to be the order of the day. With that in mind though, all is not what it seems sometimes. Cruise operators will obviously try to lure the unsuspecting customers with the cheapest possible price in the advert but the costs can be considerably higher than the advertised price.
Usually, the price advertised will be the rock bottom price for a very basic cruise package and will not include the extras that are almost essential for a good cruise vacation. Here are several budget considerations for you when you book your cruise.
Your cruise will stop at many ports during your vacation and there will be some destinations that require a port fee to be paid of anything up to $100. This port fee will nearly always be passed onto the passengers somehow. It is important to check on every stopover that your cruise will make to see what, if any charges may be invoked and include these in your vacation budget.
A modern cruise ship will offer the same facilities that you will find in any modern town or city. You have access to spas, health clubs, gyms, beauticians, the list goes on. One thing to note though is that the cost of these facilities can be a lot higher than what you are used to paying so please remember that.
It is very easy to get swept up in the moment and the splendor that a cruise vacation will offer. When ordering drinks on your cabin and not exchanging cash for them, it is very easy to forget how much you have spent especially after a few cocktails. Just be aware of the prices of drinks and some snacks on board as they can very quickly mount up.
Excursions can be very tempting when you see them advertised on board. It seems crazy to be enjoying a vacation of a lifetime and not get to see some of the sights at all the destinations. Bear in mind though that these excursions can be very expensive and often you will find it to be a lot cheaper to do yourself. Always be aware of the time you need to be back on board the ship though if you are adventuring out on your own.
A lot of times air travel is not included in the advertised price, so be aware that this could considerably bump the cruise budget up.
A cruise vacation is a wonderful vacation and something you will treasure but just be aware of the hidden costs involved and take them into consideration when deciding on your vacation budget

Cruise vacation is fun. A lot of people are discovering the fun of cruise vacation each year. You will want to do a little research before taking cruise vacation. How long are cruises? The 3-day weekend, 4-day midweek, week long, 10 day are all popular.Where do cruises go? Cruises go just about all over the world such as the Caribbean, Mexico, and Alaska. Each cruise line has its own taste. You may find economic cruises to super luxury cruises. Basically, the cruise line will help you find a roommate. Even if they can’t find a partner for you, you will probably get the cabin at the cheaper rate. If you are lucky, you may find a great friend. However, it is also possible that you may end up with a bad roommate.

Holiday cruises on Norwegian Cruise Line are fantastic. I cannot think of a more marvelous way to spend my holidays. Last year, my husband and I took a fourteen day cruise to South America.
Our Norwegian Cruise Line trip took us to the Chilean Fjords and the historic Strait of Magellan. I will never forget that cruise. We sailed from Santiago, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina. Along the way, we discovered ports like Punta Arenas, the Falkland Islands, and Montevideo. While we were at sea, we saw wildlife like elephant seals and penguins and saw glaciers and even the snow-capped peaks of the Andean Mountains.
Five years ago, we took our first holiday cruise. We decided that we would take the Norwegian Cruise Line trip to the Mexican Riviera. We sailed roundtrip from Los Angeles and explored the Gold Coast of Mexico. That trip was 8 days long and we sailed on the Norwegian Star. We danced all night in Acapulco and explored the fishing villages of Zihuatanejo. I was even able to swim with the dolphins in Ixtapa. My husband toured a tequila factory in Puerto Vallarta.
The year after we went to the Mexican Riviera, we took a holiday cruise to Hawaii. The eight day trip had been great, but we wanted a little bit more vacation, so we opted for the eleven day Norwegian Cruise Line trip to Honolulu. We ended up cruising Hawaii’s four main islands and spent a lot of time sightseeing.
Several people have asked us throughout the years why we choose to travel and take Norwegian Cruise Line trips instead of staying home for Christmas. My answer is simple. I love Christmas, but since my husband and I never had children, it seemed a little less magical at home.
The magic of a Norwegian Cruise Line trip for Christmas is in the details. They offer a fully decorated ship replete with ribbons, wreaths and sparkling trees. The menu is traditional and delicious and there is lot of caroling. I don’t sit on his knee, but I get to see Santa every year and if our cruise extends to New Year’s Eve, there is always a great party.
I like Norwegian Cruise Line trips so much that I have made it a promise to myself to take one every year. I plan for and save for it all year long. These cruises have helped my husband and I maintain our close, loving relationship and have added much needed magic into our Christmases.

Many Alaska cruises offer inland excursions to offer an even more in depth perspective of the largest American state. An Alaskan land tour offers a view into the interior wilderness and natural wonders of Alaska. Between the two; Alaska land tours and Alaska cruises, you’ll b able to see marine and land wildlife, as well as shoreline, forests, glaciers and so much more.
One of the things you will enjoyed most about the Alaskan cruise and land tour that my friend went on last year was the option to spend time at either Vancouver or Seattle at the end of the trip. He chose to take in Vancouver and liked it so much He ended up staying there an entire week after the two weeks He spent in Alaska.
An Alaska cruise is the experience of a lifetime. With the fresh, natural landscapes and wildlife, Alaska cruises continue to grow in popularity. In fact, Alaska is one of the most popular cruise destinations of all the cruise lines worldwide. So what exactly is an Alaskan cruise tour like?
For one thing, there are so many natural wonders to behold in the Alaskan frontier. You’ll be able to witness wildlife in their natural habitats, as well as the wilderness itself. There are staggering mountains and huge glaciers you can walk on top of.
It’s worth it to take both land and sea tours of Alaska. On the land tour you will probably be able to ride the Alaska Railroad and stay in some of the most beautiful national park lodges. With so many options to choose from, you have the control you need to make your vacation exactly how you’d like it to be.
If you’ve never been to the Pacific Northwest, an Alaskan cruise is just the thing for you. Not only can you spend time in one or two of the areas largest, most happening cities, but you can balance it with the most striking natural beauty of Alaska.

Do you need some time away but can’t find anyone to go with you? Don’t let this stop you from taking a vacation. Traveling by yourself doesn’t have to be boring or lonely. Taking a cruise by yourself can be the answer to a peaceful and exciting vacation. Here are some tips for setting sail by yourself.
Cruises are relaxing and everyone on the boat tends to be friendly and talkative. Sailing by yourself can be as isolated or as social as you want it to be. There are many opportunities to meet people. You’ll be assigned a dinner table so you’ll be dining with the same group of people each evening. If you’re younger and enjoy clubs, there are several nightlife options on the ship.
First off, you need to determine where you want to go and what kind of activities you want. Pick a destination that will keep your interest level high since you’ll be sailing solo. Warm weather destinations with sun and sand include the Caribbean, Mexico and the Mediterranean. In summer there are also cruises on the coasts of Canada, through the glaciers in Alaska, and through the fjords in Scandinavia. These focus on the sights from the ship and add some exploration to your vacation.
Determine how long you’d like to be on the cruise. There are cruises that range in length from three days to several weeks. The shorter ones are popular with young people who want to enjoy the nightlife on the boat. Weeklong cruises are the most popular; they offer enough time for you to adjust to the boat and enjoy all of the amenities. Unless you really want some alone time, anything longer than a week may get lonely if you’re traveling on your own.
Anticipate the added cost of traveling by yourself. Most cruise companies and travel agencies advertise prices based on double occupancy. Having a cabin to yourself will increase the cost by at least 25 percent. Some cruise companies offer a service to help you find a same-sex roommate to help share costs. If you’re set on having your own cabin then do some research; the extra cost for a single room on an expensive cruise can be less than a cheaper cruise.
Take the time and do some research before you decide on a cruise. The internet is a great resource for researching destinations, itineraries and cruise lines. Most cruise line companies have details of their ships on their website including amenities, occupancy levels and maps of their boats. You can also use a travel agent to help you find the right cruise. They have loads of brochures and many of them have first hand experience with cruises so they can make recommendations to fit your budget.
Taking a vacation by yourself doesn’t have to be boring or lonely. It may cost a bit more but taking a cruise can be the ideal solo vacation.
