If you check the Carnival web site I believe you will find a list of all the amenities provided in the cabins, and believe that hairdryers are on that list. It will be worthwhile for you to read all of the information about the ship anyway . . .

carnival.com has information about each particular ship, but as for amenities and toiletries they might be a little vague.
I don’t remember exactly, but if they don’t specifically mention that the Holiday has them in each room, and if you’re not already bringing too many things, bring one in case.
I brought one and the airline lost my luggage, but we didn’t have any in our rooms. Luckily, we called room service and they had them, and brought one to our room for us. When in doubt, contact the cruiseline beforehand, or if you are on the ship and don’t see them in your room, call room service. I’m guessing they DO have them but don’t have enough for everybody, only by request.
Don’t bring too many electronics. Rooms usually only have one electric outlet.

There are not any on board, so bring your own. By the way, we just returned from the Holiday (sailed 6/28/09) and had the time of our lives. I know some people complain but we rated the whole experience a 5 out of 5. One tip, the buffet is fine but go the extra and eat in the dining room every night. You won’t be disappointed! Hope this helps!
